Critiques may be having a field day trying to prevent dancehall artiste from going to the States, but that doesn't stop the artiste from making great strides in his career.
News is that Mavado will be making his film debut this summer when he will appear in the Steve "Tehut-Nine" McAlpin directed 'What Goes Around' movie.
Mavado will be walking in the footsteps of other dancehall artistes such as Harry Toddler, Ninja Man, Beenie Man and others who have appeared in movies.
We understand that the singjay will be playing the role of a sinister character known only as "Gully God". The film will also features other Dancehall Recording artists like KC Jockey, the late Rraw Dawg, and Flippa Mafia who is with popular New York sound system selector Nohard "Noah" Grant ("Son-Son" in Bashment: The Fork in the Road) encumber lead roles alongside Sakina Samuda and Kim Goss.
There really seem to be no stopping the DJ as only last week it was announced that Mavado would be included in a promotional campaign by Nike for the 2008 summer Olympics in
