Bounty Killer Charged By Police For Sumfest Behavior.

Bounty1_westernbembe_arrested.jpgUsing profanity on stage during Thursday night's Dancehall Explosion at Reggae Sumfest 2008, landed Bounty Killer on the wrong side of Jamaica's law enforcement.

Disorderly conduct and using indecent language is the charge that was
handed to Rodney "Bounty Killer" Price, when police met him as he left the stage around 4am. This followed his outburst of curse words at an audience that was not too thrilled with his character assassinations of other artists.

The boos sent Killer into furious mode and once he was done expressing his displeasure, a court date was in store for him; as he is now bound to attend Montego Bay Magistrate's Court on July 31, 2008.

It was an otherwise rocking night with some of dancehall's hottest keeping things not only lively, but also in order with the regulations for acceptable language at public performances.

Wanting nothing to stand in the way of Sumfest promoters' adherence to these regulations, Commanding Officer for the St. James Police, Superintendent Steve McGregor has asked them again to work hard at reinforcing the rules amongst performers.

Friday and Saturday nights will see Sumfest showcase more popular artists including Akon, Jah Cure, Keisha Cole, Cocoa Tea and Queen Ifrica tonight; and more heavy weights like: Etana, Tarrus Riley, T-Pain, Beres Hammond and Little Wayne winding up the annual festivities on Saturday night.
